The vision for Tech Go Green is for the community to live sustainably in our world of limited resources.
Message from the Executive Director
Since I founded this organization in 2007, Tech Go Green has made great progress in establishing itself as a new non-profit organization in the community. We have been continually reinventing the best way to reach out to the community about sustainable alternatives.
In our efforts to educate the community about greener operations, our Sustainable Business Consulting program has evolved into the Green Community Initiative so that we can assist all entities in creating a comprehensive roadmap to sustainability. New aspects include an examination of water usage, waste generation, and current recycling efforts of each reviewed facility. We have also added a new Employee Education component which is essential in fulfilling the economic and environmental potential of our recommended implementations.
As another service to the community, we are developing a new South Bay Green Business Certification Program. It will recognize businesses that have made sustainable changes in their operations and encourage other businesses to turn good intentions into action. The program is progressing smoothly and many of the South Bay cities have already expressed interest in participating in our proposed six-month pilot program.
Tech Go Green has also made efforts to reach out to the non-business community. In April, we launched our organic T-shirt line in order to inspire a social revolution to go green, specifically amongst the younger generation, my generation. It is time for us to embrace the responsibility of implementing sustainable practices in this ever-evolving technological society.
We have the means and the resources to combat the consequences of climate change and it is my hope that Tech Go Green will play a major role in helping the community make sustainability the norm. As the founder of this organization, I am proud to say that Tech Go Green’s progress since its inception has surpassed my expectations and I am very excited for what is to come.
