We all know that electronic waste, also known as “e-waste”, is bad, or at least I hope so (if you don’t, catch up on some news!). That’s why, when the Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance called me about recycling a few electronics, I was excited. To do the job, I called the E-Waste Center, an electronic recycling company located in Los Angeles that provides free e-waste pick up.
I met with the E-Waste Center guy at the Technology Center of the Hospital. The e-waste inventory came out to be 25 computers and printers, a lot for just two people. But, being armed with a dolly, we managed to move all the pieces from the 2nd floor of the hospital into the truck. The job took two and a half hours and it was well worth it. Here are some pictures.

Here’s the final product. Dolly and all.

Electronic Waste on its way to the recycling center

Thanks Providence Little Company of Mary hospital!
