Program Summary
South Bay Green Business Certification
Tech Go Green is developing a "South Bay Green Business Certification Program" that will recognize and promote leaders in the business community who have made efforts towards a more sustainable future for all. These business leaders have voluntarily adapted environmentally friendly practices into their operational routines, thus making a difference in the community.
The program is modeled after the successful Bay Area Green Business Program and Tech Go Green is actively developing the program so that it can be catered towards the cities of Southern California.
To achieve the Green Business Certification, a business must meet the program standards for resource conservation, energy efficiency, pollution prevention and waste minimization. To summarize the process of the program, a business will first complete an application based on their business type and then Tech Go Green will visit the business to verify that the facility meets the requirements of becoming certified.
If the applicant qualifies as a Certified Green Business, the business will be promoted through the Tech Go Green website. Advertisements and related articles may be placed as well. Certified businesses may also use the certification logo in their own marketing.
