Ivan KanPresident / Executive Director |
Tech Go Green began when Ivan Kan, the founder and President, graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design and Urban Planning. Being a recent graduate and a passionate Green advocate, Ivan held several meetings with his closest colleagues to discuss the growing relevance of environmentalism and sustainability in the modern and developing world. It was discussed that the community did indeed posses an awareness of energy efficiency. However, they lacked the knowledge and the resources for change and implementation. It was then that the potential for an unbiased, cutting edge, non-profit organization was examined. The organization could help educate and implement these sustainable practices in the community through energy auditing and consultation services. The need for this force was understood and in March 2008, Tech Go Green was officially incorporated as a non-profit organization.
