Stacey HoshimiyaProgram Coordinator |
Stacey has been on a sabbatical of sorts for the last few years, and in that time she has studied Chinese while living in Taipei, transformed an ocean-side barn into an art studio in Humboldt, and has written a book to confer her MFA in Creative Writing from Otis College of Art and Design.
After witnessing a certain disregard for the environment abroad, and in turn, transplanting herself to the very eco-conscious community of Humboldt, the precedent of sustainable living became a transformative inspiration. In awe of such natural beauty surrounding her and driven by a growing appreciation for the environment, she made significant personal changes to limit her own carbon footprint, and embraced the idea that sustainable living starts with individual change.
Upon her recent return to Los Angeles, she sought meaningful work in an organization she could believe in, and is delighted to dedicate her time to the Tech Go Green cause.
