Bill Korthof will discuss the Steae of the Photovoltaic World at Saturday’s 10 am meeting.

Lisa Mirisola from the AQMD will be giving a 30 minute presentation on the following topics:  AQMD introduction, AQMD Technology Advancement demonstrations (especially PHEVs) and Vehicle Charging at AQMD with potential changes to encourage PHEVs while minimizing impacts existing vehicle charging.  Questions will be taken after the presentation.

The January speaker will be Ken Koch, long time past president of the EVAOSC, and very active EV-drag racer who is now building the ultimate EV dragster.  Come and enjoy a video presentation of Ken’s handiwork.  Meeting starts at 10 am.

We will have a program entitled, “2008:  The tipping point for EV’s.”  We will have several speakers giving short talks on things like the Tesla getting to market, GM’s problems and the Volt, Paul Carosa from ACP with a Mini E, Paul Scott on Project Better Place’s deal in Hawii, etc.

The November 15 meeting had Greg Hansen who spoke on the plug in hybrid upgrades his company offers for the Prius.  Linda Nicholes was also present with her red Tesla.

The 10 am meeting on Sept 20 will feature Bill Hammond of EVAoSD (San Diego).  He will discuss EV Conversion Workshops and the upcoming Kick Gas Festival.

THE AUGUST MEETING IS CANCELLED.   

The 10 am, Saturday, July 19, meeting at the AQMD building will have a speaker discussing High Speed Rail.   The High Speed Rail Association speaker will be Kimberly Ong. She will be describing the technology of HS Rail. 

The June 21 meeting speaker will be Rick Eye, the Plug-In Supply dealer in LA.  He is scheduled to arrive in his Prius Plug-in.
